I hate Love stories

Yesterday, I watched the movie, “I hate Love stories”.

The only thought that came to my mind was I hate the story.

There was a girl (Simeran) and a boy (Raj) in love with each other. Now, a character named ‘J’ comes and falls in love with the girl. The girl forgets Raj and goes with J. J is heartbroken but happy that Simeran is happy.

At the end of the movie, it tries to convey that there was a happy ending. However, what about Raj, who, I don’t think will actually be happy.

The moment Raj, let Simeran go was when he was still in love with her. Their relationship, though broken, had its good memories still alive in Raj’s mind. Slowly both good and bad memories will fade away. As no new memory will be added, Raj will just be left with the present, in which he is not with Simeran. People say that with time his hatred will also fade and as he will be married and grow old he will completely forget Simeran or will laugh at olden days.

Actually, Raj will forget everything with time, but whenever he will be reminder he will only recall hatred. The only reason he will not avenge is that the returns are not satisfactory as against the stakes. The part he might laugh will be the hollowness of their relationship which was broken by complete stranger J.

That is why being “Raj” is sad, but being “J” is great and “Simeran” is enjoys both the worlds.

J: Enjoyed his life, had many “girl friend”, partied with Simeran friends, and married Simeran.

Raj: Worked all his life, loved Simeran but she left him, still happy for Simeran.

Simeran: She pretends to be as good as Raj but she is more naughty than J is.

Orkut Deleted...Facebook Deactivated...

On July 13, 2010, I deleted my Orkut account and deactivated my Facebook account.
Deleting these was unique experience.

I think the emotional content in deleting a social networking account is analogous to death.
I joined Orkut in my second year of college degree, i.e. I was born in that world. I only had one person in my friend list, the one who invited me, just like a baby who only has her mother when born. Slowly, I understood this world and learnt its ways. As I grew up my acquaintances grew. More people came in my contact. As the first year passed, I had many friends in my friend list and many of them used to talk to me on a regular basis. I was young in this world. We used to send messages & scraps to each other. I became member of various communities and actively participated in them. I also started one new community. I and my friends used to search, meet and woo girls on Orkut. We used to write almost everything in praise and send them as each other’s testimonials. Sometimes we had fights, where we used to group together and fight on some issue. Young on Orkut looked like the entire Orkut was mine. I did everything and enjoyed every moment of my youth on Orkut. But the truth was that I was growing old and so was the Orkut society. People became conservative. The environment and culture was not the same now. The entire Orkut went into a new era. May be it was I who did not change, but everyone else moved into a new culture. It was then that I stepped in later half of my life on Orkut. I was calm, thoughtful and modest. My scraps and messages reflected witty thought. The testimonial I sent were genuine and I only accepted those that described me as myself. Anything more or anything less in the testimonial looked like a wrong statement. I now felt responsible for my statements, comments and testimonials. I was too experienced on the Orkut to indulge in anything unfair. Day by day, my activities on Orkut were reduced. I was less frequent to the communities I had joined in my youth. We had started a private community with only close friends. Whenever, I was on Orkut, I used to check for messages and comments on that group. Most of the times I logged in to check for updates only on this community. It is true that when you are old, you only have a few close friends were you feel young, and all of them were in that community. Wapping memories of past come to life as you interact with them at such places.

Suddenly something unexpected happened. I found that one of my dear friends was missing from Orkut. News came like a setback to all of us and all were worried. We later discovered that his account was deleted from Orkut. He had a trifle fight with someone and they voted them out of Orkut. We suspected if he was innocent in this issue but still the penalty he paid was much more than he deserved. His demise from Orkut made us realise the fragility of our own existence. Though he came back, but he was not the same. I tried to contemplate as why I felt that he was not the same, but I did not find a reason.

Then one day, I was out of the Orkut. I had my Orkut account deleted.

With loads of unfulfilled wishes and undone work, I exited Orkut. The experience of that moment was indeed overwhelmingly emotional. I knew, I will not be able to come back again but at the same time I knew I cannot stay more. My exit was inevitable. The moment the decision was taken, any possibility of overriding the fate was gone. It took me a while to delete the account. I visited my communities, read my testimonial, recalled those who left before me and visited the profile of friends and family. I checked my fan list. I checked the total number of visitor to me till date and the number on that day. Though, it was senseless, but I accepted all pending friend requests. I prepared myself for the exit. Then I deleted it. One of the few mistakes was that I missed to save a community, where I was owner. I wanted to go back and correct it, but I could not. This was a unique feeling. I knew that there was a problem and I badly wanted to correct it. But at the same time I felt that this is no longer my problem nor was it my world anymore. In the midst of issue, I felt insulated from any harm.

I want to convey this to all my Orkut friends, but I am not there. So I posted this on my blog.
Those Orkut users who are blogger may read it and in some cases tell this to others on Orkut. Isn’t this analogous to a spiritual person reading the feelings of dead? Here, the bogglers with Orkut account are the connection between these two worlds, I am the dead and Orkut users who miss me are ignorant beings in the world of Orkut.

Interesting race!!!

2009 FORMULA 1 ING AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX

Felipe Massa pulled out with no points.
Raikkonen lost his lead unexpectedly and Vettel & Kubica got entangled just in the third last lap.
Vettel drove the second last Lap on three wheels!!!
Button took an over thirteen seconds pit stop and still did not lose the lead position; not even for a single lap.
A new team claimed top two positions after 55 years.
Piquet junior spin off the track in the same Grand Prix in which his father Nelson Piquet had his career’s last race in 1991 and has Grandstand devoted in his name.

Vettel was number two and Kubica on third when the later tried an over-take. He was almost successful when his rear wheel hit Vettel's front wheel. This made the car out of control and he ran into the fences just over the turn, so did vettel. However Vettel managed to drive one more lap without that wheel!!!
Our Force India flagship driver G Fisichella did something more interesting.
When the above two drivers evaded the scene all other drivers gained two positions up except for Fisichella he conceded 3 places to end for 11th position!!!

The race clearly told that we should be watchful.
Not only watch your move but even others on the same track.

How does 'I' define it?

The content of this blog directly refers to one of my friend’s personal experiences, troubles and her recovery. The story is personal to her and so I won’t be sharing it but I will like to share my learning and conclusions from the story.

**

Many times in our lives we experience things that we have never thought of and are not prepared for. Explicitly I want to point out certain social dogmas which instead of binding the society tends to disintegrate it. And, ironically, we follow the social customs in hope to save ourselves from the consequences of disobedience to the society, though we are well aware of their hollowness. Eventually, we suffer for reasons that can’t be explained or comprehended.

These are the times when we need to stand against the forces that tend to change our course of life.

Actually, it's a person's understanding of the things that guides the recovery process in aftermath of an incident. I won't comment on how valid or invalid the cause of the incident could be. But, I feel like putting my thought on how our fundamentals can guide in the recovery process.

We, all, know what is good and what is bad and also we do know that what is good and bad with respect to the common consent. This is a very important phrase that comes pouncing in our lives; "common consent". We behave just like herds of a sheep following a Wolf disguised as Shepherd Dog when we abide by this dogma. But nobody ever puts a thought on the meaning of this phrase.

They say that some things are good and some things are bad. But, who are they. It's 'us' that is the appropriate word. And each 'I' is equally important and valuable to make an 'us'.  And each 'I' should be very explicit and clear to make a true 'us'. So it is 'I' that defines 'our' good and bad. Hence, what makes you feel nice and worthy to the bliss of existence is actually what the word 'good' stands for. And the complementary side is the 'bad'.

But then what about evil, sin, etc?

It's true that what is good for one may be bad for other. Here we should take the guidance of nature. We are humans and we should let us be guided by our instincts. The point is that if two 'I' want to make an 'us'; it is nature there; and to defy nature is sin. If an individual wants to create a new trend then he/she could and should go ahead to define it.

The list of such ambiguous and heavy terms can be endless.

Actually they are made in such a way that everyone has something to say and appear wise. But, I think that if I can't comprehend the meaning of a single term them there is no meaning for it because I constitute the society and I have the responsibility to lead it in the right direction.

It is nothing but an individual's thinking and philosophy, when rehearsed or collaborated by many, is eventually established as a way of living, over a period of time; Later we may adorn vivid references for this setup like 'the system', 'social norms', 'public opinion', 'public view', etc. I think even 'Culture' and 'Civilization have their basic philosophy evolving & maturing in this way. Every person has its role to nurture the culture. What we do today will be the tradition tomorrow. So, a person should freely and passionately explore itself and express in order to add the true color of human behavior in a culture.

So, just believe what you want to. There should be no space for knowledge from authority unless the authority is able to explain it.

Its a new world and we have the responsibily to define it.
